Pet Incinerator Questions – Costs, Laws, Maintenance & More

August 6, 2021 By Firelake Mfg

At Firelake Manufacturing, we get inquiries every day from all kinds of industries. One recent inquiry was from the Pet Cremation industry. The customer asked,

“I am doing some research on pet incinerators. Do you have information on how long it takes to incinerate a pet, costs of incinerators, laws, certification, and equipment maintenance? Anything you have would be so helpful.”

Here is how we answered this Pet Incinerator Inquiry:

If you are looking for pet incinerators, you found the right company. Pet cremation equipment is what we do!

We have dozens of incinerator models, options, and features at many price points.

Do you want to handle the largest breed of dog or start smaller and work your way up?

Laws and codes for incineration equipment vary with every city, county, state, and province. Your local government can direct you on what is required or needed.

Common pet cremation rates range from 40-90 lbs per hour. For instance, a large dog such as a full-size lab can range from 3-7 hours. Fat content and many other factors make every cremation different.

It is not uncommon for incinerators from Firelake Manufacturing to average a 20-30 year life span.

Maintenance for the incinerators is minimal at about 2-10 hours per year.

Some of our most popular models for pet cremation are:

Model A: A400X
Model C:  C6-200-SC4, C12-400-SC4, C19-600
Model H: HP30-SC4, HP30-SC30
Model P: P16-SC4, P16-SC30

Each incinerator has different size chambers for both the Primary Burn Chamber and the Secondary Afterburner Chamber. The Secondary Afterburner is where you will meet the code requirement and control emissions. The photo above shows the primary chamber layout of the C19-600 model.

Pricing for the incinerator models listed ranges from $22,000 – $79,000, but it would be best to give Firelake a call for specific pricing and to see what model best fits your needs.

Give us a call and let us know what size animals you wish to process and how many per day or per week and we can help fit the best model for your business.

We look forward to learning more about your pet incineration business and how Firelake can help!
